Now some baseball photos from when McNeese hosted LSU on Wednesday. McNeese won the game 5-4. Another damn night game.

Edit note: Don't know what happened adding these photos from Flickr. The metadata got all screwed up and doesn't show.

Edit note2: Now it is showing. ???????

The "no_doubter" homerun coming off the bat in the bottom of the 8th inning that ended up being the winning run. And the player celebrating at home plate.

It depends on what you want to do with the 6D. I have that combo of a 6D and a 7D2 and I love the specific capabilities of both. I use the 7D2 for sports, birding and anything where the extra focusing capabilities are a benefit. But I use my 6D for pretty much everything. I use it for portrait work, concert work, landscapes, general walk around use.
The ability of the 6D to focus in low light and its high ISO is well beyond anything the 7D2 can accomplish. So I consider it the best of both worlds with this combo.

I have the same combo and use them much the same as you do...

I just added a 5D4 and am giving it a shakedown to see where it will fit in.

Only 45MB/sec write speed is well under what the 7dii needs.

McNeese softball game with Houston Baptist University last Tuesday night. I hate night games and the high ISO's that are necessary.

Doc,
Nice job with the shots as well as the noise management.
That field is a full two stops more light than our High School varsity football field.

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

I'd get the 6D, always great to have both crop and full frame. I run my 5DIII as an everyday camera but use 7DII for birding and anything where I need speed.

Since it seems highly likely that the 6D2 will come out this year (CR Link (external link)), you may want to consider waiting a bit. If it is a baby 5D4, it may be worth it.

I currently own a 70D as a second body so I'm not in a hurry to make the purchase. A couple of things I'm thinking are, 1) Save a bit more and buy a 5D or 2) Wait for the 6DmkII and see how much more the 6D drops in price and if the new version is worth the difference. I actually saw a 6D bundle yesterday for $1299 and I know B&H has body only for $1269. Pretty good deal on the bundle.

my backup is dead.. my t2i... it no longer sees any SD cards. Sucks really but I dont do any paid gigs so my 7dm2 is just it for me.
I know too many people jumping ship to Sony and selling out their Canon gear... for me not sure where I will go next but the 7dm2 is my choice for now and with wanting the 18-35 and 50-100 1.8's I think the 7dm2 will always be in my bag (or 7dm3!!!!!)

Thank's, it was -20c something and the wind bit just a bit, so bright with the sun reflecting off the snow I was sure there was going to be some burn here and there. I was not able to see the meter with my glasses dark and the brightness so I used my spidey senses and found there was no burn in any image.
