Coreopsis

I was setting up to take a photo of this large field of Coreopsis, for a friend who loves wildflowers, when I noticed some Cattle Egrets flying in.

I managed to capture one in flight.

And an image of these two, strolling through the wildflowers like a pair of lovers. Spring is in the air.

These are handheld, center focus point, spot meter. The birds and wildflowers were distant, these are considerable crops.

Very pretty, with the flowers.

When I used to go rock climbing at the Roaches in the Peak District, we saw the occasional Wallaby; escapees from a private zoo apparently.:-)

Not too far from Wigan eh!;-)a

Cheers

Got only a few images before the rain forced me to leave Alligator Farm this morning. Had to post process on my MacBook Pro. Prefer my PC with 27" monitor. Can see the image better.

Hope these look O.K..

a few snaps from a hike this past weekend ~

took my rarely used but lightweight and capable 55-250 STM. Also learned the expanded centre-point AF does not like shooting through branches in the woods :-P so will consider just using the centre-point when called for. I did however size down from the expanded 8 helper a week or 2 ago and I think I do prefer the 4 helper vs 8 for general use.
