Nice.

I honestly can't say I have... If my images/captures are blurred (slightly or completely), I'd say 99.9% of that is due to user error; ME!!! I've only shot with a few lenses with the 7D2 body, though... Still haven't tried any other glass in my inventory... Maybe I will/should to see if I do have any focusing issues with those lenses...

OK, I have an ignorant question. I called Adobe earlier this morning and as a result, downloaded the Beta 8.7 DNG converter. I haven't installed it yet. Supposedly, it will convert my 7D 2 RAW files to .dng and I can then use Lightroom and Photoshop to process them.

The question: how does it work and will it mess up Lightroom or Photoshop? Does the converter work as a stand alone product and if so, how do I import the files, etc into it?

I'm trying to save some google time. ;)

I can help only a little. It will not mess up LR or PS. The rest would be speculation at best on my part. Well maybe a wisecrack comment or two also.

No focus issue is good fellas. I am debating whether to shoot this weekend football games with The II. The issue is I have never ever used DPP. Fellas, convince me I will be alright and then I will shoot Raw and Jpeg to cover my butt.

Kim, I would contact Adobe and ask them and then, let us know, especially me, so that I can download it, too.;)

Oh, is the download free?

Adobe customer service said it would work... I'm on the Adobe forum right now getting confirmation... and yes, it's free.

I'm going out later today and am shooting RAW files to the CF card... Jpegs to the SD card.

I also plan on avoiding DPP if I can find a decent work-around.

Unless there is a 8.7+ version out there... it doesn't work for the 7D 2... at least, it isn't listed on the adobe download page

New Camera Support

The following new cameras are now supported:

Casio EX-100PRO
Fuji X30
Leaf Credo 50
Leica V-Lux (Typ 114)
Nikon D750
Panasonic DMC-GM1S
Sony ILCE-5100
Sony ILCE-QX1

I'm sure several folks will give it a try, but you are correct, the 7D2 is not listed.

I ran a quick test on the DNG converter and could not get it to work. Maybe someone else will have better luck.
