I don't look at this thread for 12 hours and it fills up with posts related to heat. Well heat has not been a problem here so far this year. No wildlife in these shots.

Been a cold spring. Note the lack of new growth is both pictures. No green leaves to be seen. That is unusual.

Rod

Lake Ice, taken June 16 which is about normal for that time of year.

interesting Rod... my fav time of year is brakeup. And yours is extended. I’m thinking your more than a couple hours drive lol. But it might be worth it.

Inspirational for me, we're just in the middle of our second house move in 6 months, our new property has an acre of extra land to the side adjacent to farmland, the current owners have been feeding 3 separate foxes for a while ( I know an acre is small potatoes to our American cousins, but here in the UK land is extortionate ). I've been out of the birding game for a few years, 3 children now 1,3 and five put paid to my 5 o'clock starts on a Saturday morning...............

Now having a place where the wildlife can be encouraged to come to me I'm going to upgrade my gear and get back into it. I was down your neck of the woods yesterday ( Broad Haven ) for a day on the beach, beautiful part of the country.

Great shots.

We've only been here for 6 months, not ever moving again, ever, you must be mad doing it twice! We came here for the peace and quiet and the more chilled way of life, not disappointed. Sounds like your new place should be just the job, hope it all goes well and be sure to post up the successes that are sure to come :)

cheers

Cool lizard Lester, did it get the ant? I only ever seen one lizard in this country and I had a 10-20 on the camera so no close ups unfortunately.
