Nice hawk shots in the "bath tub," but I think you have a cooper's hawk there.
Thanks , changed to Coopers.

Not sure how long ML will take a while to catch up to it and I'll have no issues using a DLSR for birding. Image Editing OK

Not sure how long ML will take a while to catch up to it and I'll have no issues using a DLSR for birding. A friend of mine recently got the 1DX2 and loves it but he shoots mainly large wildlife not birds and also can get close to subject. That for me is the deal breaker. My 5DIII also gives me slightly better files but Id rather use the 7DII for any wildlife not close. I am now at the stage where Im thinking I will never replace the full frame with another DSLR and perhaps Id consider a 7D3 in the long term if I ever need another DSLR for birding. ultimately I think for landscapes and everyday Id go to mirrorless if I can ever afford it FUJI XT5 + XT3 & a bunch of Fuji lenses, Mavic Air2 drone

The first shot is absolutely gorgeous and in the second shot, I like the expression on the face of the kangaroo on the left. LD, or Mike
