About a month and a half ago they drained the pond. I thought they were just going to fill it in because of the water issues in California. But it was re-filled with water. Wildlife is starting to come back. Once the ducks arrive the bigger hawks will start to arrive. Water is sure clear now.

I also wish there was a perfect camera that would cover all my needs which would be full-frame, fast FPS but with crop as well. And not too pricey, think thats a bit too much to ask for :-D

I want exactly what you described, Julie...I think the only place we will ever see that camera, is in our dreams. So all I can say is, "sweet dreams."

Well not so fast mike. Sony’s new cameras have something called super 35. It crops the full sensor to a crop. 1.5 ??? Can’t remember exactly. They also do 4K very well to boot. It looks like canon is not interested in one camera doing it all but rather a few cameras complementing one another. But of course they all have a price tag on their head.

With the lenses that I've accumulated over the years, I'm pretty much stuck with Canon. They apparently have plans for a full frame mirrorless camera to be put on the market son. However we still would have to use an adapter in order to use our current Canon lenses on a mirrorless Canon body. I'm not willing to do that, so I just have to keep my finger crossed that the 7DIII comes a little closer to my dream camera.

While you know I’m with you on the 7DIII.. I’m starting to have doubts. It maybe scupped up in the revaluation

Yes, I know Jeff, but I need to have something to look forward to. I've got my fingers crossed on both hands. :-)

They will never make such a camera, as this 'perfect' camera would destroy their other camera sales. Nice thought though.

Ya thats what I'm saying too Derek. The 7DII was a great allrounder. They need to give the people what they want.

I find people completely open to change right now. of course there will always be the people that wish to stay with what they have

but photography is on the edge of a big change. some will want to continue doing what they are doing... others want the forward motion.

I'm ready to be one thats getting the stills for the wall and the motion to caption your mind. If you guys could be with me standing neck deep in

tall marsh with the moose or chasing Pine Marten I'm sure you would get a kick out of it in motion.

I don't see the 7DIII being rf mount... I'm thinking the 7D4 will be.. I think it's too soon for all the R&D to be done to put out the 7DIII in RF. Guess we hide and watch.

I'm not bothered at all with the new mount, something had to give, you all want Canon to innovate and keep up with Sony, right? that lens control ring.. that is serious innovation.. the adapter that they produce and make their EF AND EF-s lenses work on the RF mount.. that was a step up. When they get the cooling figured out for FF 4K - it will be the bomb and work right.

I'm looking forward to the new lenses, and new bodies, and Im not near as worried about the change as I was before we new we had a EF to new mount solution.

Godox/Flashpoint r2 system, plus some canon stuff.

The 1DxII is considered the best at 4K by many wildlife guys. And from what Ive seen it sure seems their right. I'm not as up on sony video. I need to spend some time reading and watching. Looking at the screen today is bad. Had some steel taken out of my eyes yesterday. Stupid is as stupid does.

I dont do video but I just find it hard to use the screen for any work. I'm in the desert and its bright out, the screen is pretty much useless. On another point is, so you have a mighty fine 4K video. Try sharing that as you see it. Youtube will chop it up. Just my opinion.
