Have an older 100-400 L 1 lens. Did the MFA on it to bring in the focus. The lens has been giving me so many great photos. Next week I hope to pick up the newer 100-400 L 2 lens. Cant wait.

I may be wrong, but I think you'll really be surprised at how much you like the new 100-400. When you run it on your 7DII...it's almost like they were made for each other. The speed at which it sharpens, and the image quality you get will put a big grin on your face. Have fun!

Mine has been GLUED to my 70d/80d until I recently just needed some wide angle shots on a hike. Otherwise, even for hiking the 100-400 II does landscapes/flowers, mfd work tremendously and QUICKLY. The convenience and speed factor is often not discussed enough, but if you're trying to hike 10-12 miles in a day, each lens change drop off the pack/tripod, all that garbage is just too time intensive. So hiking with the 100-400 II out and ready to roll is a real treat!

Out walking the land a bit and came across this honeybee that was LOADED with pollen. I've never seen one so covered and thought it was interesting.

It would be really interesting if that really is the replacement. The touch/tilt/flip screen is the biggest thing I missed going from the 70D, and really like it on the 6D2. The rear controls look promising having the controller vs. just a D pad. I do worry about what noise may be like on a 32mp sensor, but if there are gains, I’d consider the 90D.

A jump from 24mp APS-C to 32mp is quite something... stay tuned for more - maybe there was a tech breakthrough lol

What Remote Switch/Shutter are you folks using instead of the expensive Canon one?

Alternative to Canon RS-80N3 Remote Switch?

Google is showing little...

I can see why the 100-400 V2 is popular for sudo macro. This shot is only resized for posting. With TC 1.4 v3 attached.

This appears to be the new 90D Promo Video.

https://www.canonrumors.com …o-appears-to-have-leaked/ (external link)

Canon Rumors simply has had no reliable buzz about an upcoming 7D3 and with EOS-R being heavily invested in, I think we are essentially looking at the 7D2 replacement in this vid.

32mp
eye detection
yadda yadda yadda...

I feel like my next EOS will be a used 6D II but the 90D might yet nab me... regardless I really miss my 70D's flipity screen...

This is being discussed in the 90D rumor thread starting on page 2.
