TustinMike figment of our collective imaginations More info | Dec 13, 2019 00:09 | #22023 Thanks, You’re probably correct- I don’t know if you do much action photography, but when panning, the subject can go from brightly lit to dark in just a few seconds, when there are shadows or in changing skies, and I believe that was the case here. I think I probably set my camera up for the the brighter skies just to the left of the frame - at the crest of the iconic corkscrew of Laguna Seca. I'm mainly here for the snacks

I’m interested to know why you stopped down to F/7 , did you find the DOF to shallow? Also what did you process your image in? Cheers Nick, UK

sirquack Goldmember More info | Did you know in LR Classic, you can apply the processing of roughly what the JPG processing is in LR? If not, you can go to the Basic panel and "Profile" there is a little four-block on the right side of the panel. If you click that, there are several different profiles there, including the "camera matching" which is the processing your camera generally applies. Name is Ron.

If you click that, there are several different profiles there, including the "camera matching" which is the processing your camera generally applies. The good news is, you can use that as a starting point and then add your individual processing flair to the image. So you can see if you can match what it shows in the camera preview. You also don't need to make the actual changes, just hovering over the treatment lets you preview how it would look with the processing without actually changing the image. Yes, I've managed to colour match Nikon and Sony jpg to Camera Raw setting in Lightroom but the Canon camera raw profiles seem way off. I think the 7D MKII jpeg processing is quite aggressive especially noise reduction. Nick, UK
