Anyone use this camera for astrophotography? I heard it's pretty good for the subject do to lower dark current noise. I was using a modified 20d and needless to say, it's pretty long in the tooth.

I probably should do some searching (I do intend to do more research, thought I'd start here) :-)

The 7D2 looks promising to my eyes, but I know relatively little about astrophotography.

Take this with the caveat that astro is a new thing for me in the last couple years, and represents less than 5% of all shutter clicks I have done in that time.

I used it in early July playing around with it at our hotel/cabin in Capital Reef with a 10-22 and was kind of surprised. I decided to take it with me to Arches NP in late July, and was surprised how well it did with a Sigma 18-35. I was cursing my decision to haul 2 bodies and 4 lenses + tripod on my first after dark hike to delicate arch, and was not sure of things when looking at the screen there, but pleased when I got them on computer. I ran it through a very light handed edit in Topaz Denoise a couple weeks ago, and thrilled. The downside was having to use a wired shutter release whereas with the 6D2, the touch screen shutter worked great.

Rare to have a Bald Eagle in my area - this taken August 2019.

As a side note - I asked this thread last year how to fix a clipped feather (out of frame). Some helpful members suggested I use PS Content Aware 'Move'. I only have PS Elements 14 and at the time I didn't think it had the 'Move' feature but by golly it actually does have it (as well as Content Aware 'Extend'). I prefer not to use such magic tricks but have to admit that it sure helped with the clipped feather shot.

Cheers ~
