Gulls on the wing. Someone was nice to throw out some chicken scraps. That brought them in and gave many opportunities for pics. Both shots are cropped and resized

Saw a lot more wildlife than usual over the past few days. Captured this beaver shot on June 9th. I did see the two together but only captured this one. The pair seem to setting up home too close to the road. That means they won't have a long happy life. Anyway, the next day I saw a moose but due to dense tree cover I only got a picture of an ear. :-) A couple of hours later a fox walked past but I had the fly rod in hand and the camera was too far away so no pic. Still, it was nice to see.

{Update: Its either my card reader or usb port}

Hi Folks - hope this issue is the card and not the 7DII. Comments?

I have now just formatted the card, hopefully fixing it.

that looks a little more sinister than a bad card. many years ago, when I had a bad card, the problem created were horizontal lines, not in blocks like this. but that said, I'm no expert.

Years ago, our first digital camera did something quite like that to not all but many of the pictures.

We had no clue what we were doing at the time.

Turns out it was a problem with the card and a proper formatting cured the problem.

That camera still takes decent pictures; and, of the original card that gave the problem and several other cards since, we never saw that behavior again.

If formatting the card doesn't do the trick, try a few other known good cards.

I always blamed the corrupted photo problem that we experienced on the fact that --- #1 we had no clue what we were doing --- and #2 the wife and her sister would save photos from other cameras and edits of photos on the card, all in the same folder as the ones the camera was taking.

It was a handy way --- and the only way at the time --- to get photos from one house to the other.

A proper formatting and stopping that behavior cured the problem.

I would format the card and try a few others before I suspected the camera.

Yeah, I formatted the card in camera upon see the 6 out of 16 shots affected. Hopefully the formatting cures it. I may have formatted on Win10 previously, but have not formatted recently anyways. Hopefully cured. Someone on the FB group suggested my card reader could be the culprit - also possible... Thanks ~

Haven't posted in what seems like ages. Anyway, I think I mentioned the first shot a while back. Finally got around to taking the pictures off the card.

It doesn't take much of a tree to obscure a 1000lb moose. (his nose is between the dead spruce and the juniper on the right)

I looked to the left and when I looked to the right this guy was watching me from about 25 feet away. He did finally saunter off whick is when the shot was taken.

I saw this little spruce tree cone standing tall and point at the sky. Looked like he had big plans. For some reason it caught my eye. Don't ask why.

And another. The July 3 super moon. Called the thunder moon I think. Taken right after moon rise so lots of atmospheric distortion. The colour is pretty accurate.

Some more. This time a little robin chick that flew into my patio door after which he landed outside the screen door about 8 inches from my cat's nose. She likes to look outside. Good thing the screen is new.
