Aressem Goldmember More info | Nov 23, 2014 16:07 | #2539 Does anyone else own the grip? I just picked one up today and I can't get the camera to turn on. I've turned on the switch on the side of the grip as well as the camera. Could I be overlooking something? Both batteries are the LP-E6 and are fully charged. Ryan Mackay WEBSITE

Might be bad luck that you got a DoA unit. Julian

stsva Cream of the Crop More info | Nov 23, 2014 19:17 | #2548 Not much luck with birds today, but I did get lucky enough to get this mockingbird using spot AF (ef400mm f/5.6L, 1/1250, f/5.6, ISO 2500, AI Servo focus). Most of the shots missed on the branches and foliage, but this one got through. The crop is downsized and low-res for posting, but started off at 100% view. It's not as clean an image as a lot of people have been posting, but considering the amount of cropping I did and the ISO level, I was happy to be able to see this little bird's eye peeking at me through the branches.
