Will have to check it out sometime. Looks very similar to our Circle B Bar Reserve here in Lakeland.

Good luck and enjoy the process. Cheers Gus I agree. I did the same with one lens. I needed +9, but bumped it to +11 and the images look much sharper with better feather detail. I will continue to use this setting for a few days to make sure it's consistent. Gear

Good luck and enjoy the process. Cheers Gus I used Dot Tune and came up with +1 as the correct setting, then real world test shots of birds in my garden suggested that +2 or even +3 would suit my normal focus on the wing for best contrast on small subjects. I made a quick trip down the road to our local harbour and took this image of a Redshank with MFA +2. The focus was on the head of this bird. ![]() Redshank 141211 Tringa totanus ![]() ![]() I was quite happy with this - but then again I was happy with the previous Woodpigeon with the forward focus! I first saw this bird flying towards me and did not have time to switch from single point focus but somehow the focusing picked it up although the focus spot had drifted off the bird as it passed by at speed (it was about a foot behind the bird) and using AF Case 1. Still the result was encouraging for a grab shot. IMAGE LINK: https://www.flickr.com …811755658/in/photostream/ ![]() Redshank 141211 Tringa totanus ![]() ![]() Dave
