Personally, I like the 1st over the 2nd, for the treeline being in focus, but otherwise I'm in complete agreement. Some digital cameras, some film cameras, some lenses & other kit.

I'd intended to find some birdlife but didn't really find anything exciting happening. But then the sky decided to do something after all and I managed to grab this with the 70-200 when it happened in front of me.

BillinTexas Cream of the Crop More info | Thank you Gus. The 70D will stay in the stable having sold the 60D I had. Since most of my photography is outdoor the 7D gets the Tam 150-600 and 70D now gets the shorter lenses. I'm really looking forward to getting it in my hands and contributing. Bill being Smug

Congrats on the new camera Will. I sold my 70d and now have the 7dII paired with a 6d which seems like a winning combo. However, I do miss some of the 70d's features such as WiFi and touch screen. 6D & 7D mark II - Canon 16-35 f/4 IS L, Canon 24-70 f/2.8 L, Canon 24-105 f/4 L IS, Canon 70-200 f/2.8 IS II L, Canon 100-400 f/4.5-5.6 L IS II, Canon 50mm f/1.8 STM, Canon 85 f/1.8, Canon 100 f/2.8 USM macro, Canon EF 1.4x III

Pondrader suggested I use Case 5 with the tracking sensitivity taken down one notch... to the left, using the rate button. Thanks guys. I also took one with the tree line in focus for that 2nd shot, but the details in the clouds would have been muddled/lost so at the time, I decided to process the clouds and their layers instead of the trees. Greatly appreciate the feedback. Julian

Jan 23, 2015 10:41 | #3583 Shot in the OKC zoo earlier this week. 7D MKII and Tamron 70-300 VC. The camera was in manual with the SS at 800, the aperture at f8 and the ISO on auto. I would never float the ISO with my 50D but I am finding the 7D2 RAW files to be very flexible. I can really get a lot out of them in LR.
