Had this 7D2 up for sale in the FS forums but decided to keep it. The deal with the wifey is the 6D as to go :( .

I'll miss the richness of the Fullframe files but I've been craving speed and AF.
I've gone out all winter shooting wildlife/birds/bif with the 6D with some success but also with too many misses.
Hopefully this body will help that.

One of my first shots just now.

50mm @ f2.8, iso 160

I can tell you the secret right now if you like MedicineMan?? You must have an energy that read's to the animals that you are not a threat, and never feed them because as soon as you do you are no longer interesting, Now roll around on the ground like a 200lbs fool and shoot like your ass is on fire while never looking at the images on the back of your camera. lol

Many thanks and tilted on purpose rather than taken on the side of a hill but it does have a slight incline.

I know not everyone likes it but sometimes it can make them a little more interesting to look at.

I've gone out all winter shooting wildlife/birds/bif with the 6D with some success but also with too many misses.
Hopefully this body will help that.

When I had a 6D and the original 7D as my main cameras, I found a lot more situations where the 6D was superior, because of the 7D's noise and slight banding, but now that I have a 7D2, I find much less use for the 6D. The 6D is going to mainly be for shooting f/1.4 lenses wide open, and getting the widest FOV out of my 8mm fisheye and 12-24mm zoom.

In any situation where I can get the same DOF and FOV with the 7D2, I don't feel that the 6D is superior in any way, unless the lens I would use on the 6D was sharper for it. The other day, I went to the museum, and before I went I put the 7D2, 10-22mm, and 17-55mm/2.8 IS on the floor together, and a bit away from them, the 6D, 12-24 Sigma, and 24-105L and looked them over for a couple of minutes, and put the 7D2 kit in my bag, and I did not regret it. I think the results I got with the 17-55/2.8 IS were as good, if not superior, to what I would have had with the 6D and the 24-105L. All I was missing was the extremes of FOV (12mm and 105mm on the 6D), but I never needed them. The 7D2 kit was much lighter than the other would have been.

The 17-55/2.8 IS seems to be sharper on the 7D2 than the 24-105L on the 6D at the same FOV and DOF.
