Got home a couple of hours ago, took a 3 hour nap post 28+ hours of travel returning. So another from the trip-my first falcon. My favorite pic of the trip was via the GH4 and can't appear on this thread...it is an Austral Pygmy Owl taken on a long hike, too long for me to even think about toting the 7D2 and the 400, anyway I hope you like the falcon as much as I did :)

Thanks you guys :)
I guess now it's back to the cardinals in the backyard!
Had a thought on the flight(s) back, me wondering how many 70D
owners completely switched to the 7Dii.
I kept mine for macro and hopefully in the near future more astro work
when I get my pier done.
Pondrader I almost forgot, one more fox :)

This is a pretty heavy crop with a dark bird against a bright gray sky, and I usually wouldn't bother, but it's not every day that you see a hawk with a decapitated snake in the bay area on a 57 degree day in April! Shot at the old Mare Island naval shipyard in Vallejo CA.

They are an interesting Fox, there seems to be more dog there in the genetics. There coat is short with the dark fur showing through. Looks like he's on the short grass??

I spent last night trying to get some good images of my big buddy Brutus, but he was acting just a bit shy. First time seeing him this year

LOL Yes Bear Too, His Name Is Brutus...well to me his name is Brutus because he is the biggest black bear I've seen around here. I met him years ago and he has grown into a big bear by my standards.

A shot of him this time last year. And a Canadian Red Fox for comparison shot while Medicineman was off playing in a far away land lol

Well, I live in southwest Louisiana about 45 minutes north of the Gulf of Mexico. I guess when the college sporting seasons are over (in the summer), I need to head down to the wildlife preserves between here and the Gulf to find a gator, nutria, osprey, etc. to shoot. Not as pretty as your wildlife but it is the best I can do. ;)
