Thanks Not exactly sure what you are asking but the MFA that I had previously stored per lens were still there after the firmware upgrade. Hockey and wedding photographer. Favourite camera / lens combos: a 1DX II with a Tamron 45 1.8 VC, an A7Rii with a Canon 24-70F2.8L II, and a 5DSR with a Tamron 85 1.8 VC. Every lens I own I strongly recommend [Canon (35Lii, 100L Macro, 24-70F2.8ii, 70-200F2.8ii, 100-400Lii), Tamron (45 1.8, 85 1.8), Sigma 24-105]. If there are better lenses out there let me know because I haven't found them.

I had previously adjusted all of my lens for both my 5D3s and 7D2 - but I also have learned that you have to be extremely careful as the nature of the frequency of the light truly plays havoc (Tungsten vs outdoor shade) so you have to be very careful. I have since made sure that when shooting outdoors I return almost all my lens to 0 - and only when inside, assuming I remember, will I enable MFA to kick in. I think he is asking as to whether the stored MAF settings will still be good if Canon snuck in something unannounced into the firmware update to correct some of the focus problems people were having or will you need to redo the MAF to new settings? 2 Canon 1Dx's | Canon R6 | EF 70-200 F2.8 L IS II | Canon 300mm F2.8 I | EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM | Canon Extender EF 2x III | Canon Extender EF 1.4x III | Editing of photos is okay.

I don't exactly remember how to do it though there is an explanation on how others did it on another thread here. May 16, 2015 06:33 | #5055 I did the firmware update and it seems to have helped with my 70-200 f2.8ii. I was having trouble shooting track with sprinters or long jumpers coming directly at me, it would track well and then lose focus, then re capture at times. I didn't notice it at any specific focal length and I had tried all cases and changed my af tracking parameters. 6D & 7D mark II - Canon 16-35 f/4 IS L, Canon 24-70 f/2.8 L, Canon 24-105 f/4 L IS, Canon 70-200 f/2.8 IS II L, Canon 100-400 f/4.5-5.6 L IS II, Canon 50mm f/1.8 STM, Canon 85 f/1.8, Canon 100 f/2.8 USM macro, Canon EF 1.4x III
