A few birds from today. I think I'll have to look into micro adjusting my sigma 120-300 with 2x extender as I haven't been happy with the sharpness I've been getting. Still testing as the conditions have had poor lighting and I haven't had the mark 2 for too long, altough I have previously used the original 7d. Any c&c always appreciated.

Are these cropped or any PP done? They do look..odd. Considering what I have seen from the 120-300 w/2x on the 70D sample thread these are just very weird looking. Almost like a soft focus filter is on it. Have you tried the combo on another camera with better results? Is the 120-300 fine by itself?

Props to the 7D2's ability to react quick with the pheasant shot. I was in my car, past him, got out of my car and he took flight fast. Swung the camera up and shot a burst of shots. Not only did it react fast it also tracked the bird through thick brush, capturing all the shots.

One I took today laying on a big flatly rounded rock coming out of the water to shoot the Loon today. no tripod just prone on the rock they came out very well I think. only a few inches above the water. lots of Mayfly and other bugs flying around. and pollen like theres no tomorrow.
