Obviously MP and maybe usable ISO, any 1D3 and 7D2 users offer any thoughts? 5D3, 7D2, 1D3, 40D, 14 f2.8 Samyang, 17-40 L, 28-80 L, 70-200 2.8ii L, 200 2.8ii L, 200-400 L, 1.4 ii,

The 7D was very close to the 1D3 at high ISO, with the 1D3 having better sharpness. Past Equipment | My Personal Gallery

If the 1D3 is working great for you, then there's no need to switch. Julian

So far, compared to the 1DX: Focus: equal (I really mean that, impressed) Buffer: perceived less buffering available. (Either a smaller buffer or due to increased file size) Noise: No fair comparison 1DX kicks butt. (as expected). Better than my older 7D (2 stops??) but the noise is very manageable as long as you're not blocking up your blacks. Battery: In 34 degree weather this morning, I burned 350 clicks and battery is only down 25%. Controls: Equal to 5D MkIII and 1DX. I truly feel better about my purchase reading this. My Flickr

With my 500 a 7D2 will add a fair amount of reach over what I have now with improved AF too. Hmmm, this buying lark is tricky. It seems the info given is making your decision tougher. If there is a way you can get ahold of a 7D2 to test I would suggest that to be your best route. Good luck with your decision.
