Jun 08, 2015 09:17 | #5297 X-Games 2015 @Kalajoki, Finland. Very dull day, so this was mostly testing af tracking and cases. I think 7D mkII did very well, used mostly case 1 and 4(if i remember correct), most of the photos where sharp enough to use. Big change for me, coming from 60D. Couple funny shots, crane behind was for benji jumping and for second photo, everything just aligned perfectly. Image hosted by forum (731714) © JRovio [SHARE LINK] THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW. At the wide end, about 0 and 0 respectively. So I finally got around trying this out using Dot Tune. I figure target was about 100 ft. Image Editing OK

It would still blink and beep quite happliy at +20 and the best response at the low end was +5. I was a little surprised but others got about +12 at POTN. I took it off the TC and got about a +3 which I'm not going to worry about because my real world shots look great. I know there is a process for this if you hit 20 but I could not watch the video at the lake. I'm home now so I'll watch it and try this again. It appears that I could not even use Focal if I wanted to but there may be a work around. I have not looked at it for about 6 months. Don't have a laptop anyway. Don't bother with the video.

Once you achieve the live view Af and turn lens to MF, slightly manually focus the lens shortening the focus distance a little bit. (since you exceeded the +side) Now, do dot tune onlyto get the width of the range. Then divide this range in half and add to the lowest nfa number you got during your previous dot tune without the defocus step. Thanks. I was wondering about the direction. I'll try it. This combo definitely needs it. I did not know what to set it to so I went +14 and just sat around on the deck. The feeder is backlit but the chairs on the deck were so comfy. Image Editing OK

My buddy was his tip toes trying to get my dish angles so I thought I'd use the cam and avoid a lawsuit. Image Editing OK
