Hahaha, be prepared for quite a hefty excess luggage bill then ;)

Just showed the wife some of your Fox pics, she was ooohing and aaaaghing over them, think she likes them as much as I do.

I looked through your photostream to show her, I must say mate, you have some amazing photo's on there that I haven't seen on here, I encourage everyone to grab a cup of coffee and sit down to have a look at Jeffs photostream, be time well spent, excellent stuff Jeff.

Cheers
Gus

.......Wow Thank's Gus, I have an amazing amount of wild critter's and the hunting back ground to find and shoot them. but not one Fairy Wren in the bunch lol

I must say, visiting this thread and the 100-400 II threads are going to seriously impact my bank balance in the near future! :)

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

Forgot to say something about that seagull crop. Have to admit that the TC does make a decent quality improvement. I pushed that crop pretty hard and it is not something I would normally do. I don't mind using the TC but then I lose zone or I'm stuck on the centre point. Centre point is no big deal but I'm having fun with zone these days. I'll use it when I find something more serious than keeping honed by practising on seagulls and pelicans. Missed a cormorant yesterday.

It's good to see you and other's are really getting into the groups of points because that's what makes this camera so great. We asked for a complicated, edgy, customizable, 1.6 crop and a new AF system and that's what they gave us. ,....glad to see your getting into the wilder side of the camera they should neverhave called it a mark II because it should have had a name all it's own. There's nothing about this camera that is 7D except the concept,..if you ask me!!

Good point about the name - but they are running out of single-digit numbers.

Maybe they should have called it just the 7. It could have been the Canon EOS 7.

I mean, the D is no longer necessary. Everybody knows it will be a digital model.

Sony RX10 IV, Canon 7D2, Canon 77D, assorted Canon lenses

I agree, I have both still and when I feel there close to being the same camera I shoot the 7D and realize there not even close.

Can we talk about the fact that they're practically giving this camera away at this point? Last I looked, they'd already dropped the Canon MSRP and brand new grey market bodies are going for $1149.
