I should add the lens I've been using lately is the yongnuo 35mm 2.0, which works perfectly on the 7DM2.
Even autofocus in live view and continuous focus in video is quick and accurate.


Great lens just wish it was wider or longer, gonna try and trade that for a 24mm or sell it to fund one.

While the 622C will fire the flash I had read that originally you needed the 622TXC (transmitter, not transceiver) to wok on the 7dii.
Are you saying you used the 622C on the 7dii as the ransmitter?

That's what I'm doing atm, one as receiver for my 580 EXll and one on the 7dll as transmitter, although I have a txc on order

With the sigma 120-300 f2.8

Couple of b's in F

I have used a YN 622c as the transmitter on the 7D2 and the other on a YN 565 and it worked as expected. I was able to adjust the power through the external flash menu and no issues at all.

Yes, there were quite a few posts in the yongnuo specific thread that stated that pre dec 2014 (i think it was) copies wouldn't work with the 7dmkll but my copies are dated 2013 and they're fine.

Mine are pre-2014 as well. The ETTL is always sketchy so I run manual for the most part. But it gives me much finer control which I like anyway.

Bored this morning so rather that wash and wax the van, I decided to photograph it instead I think my boy's bedroom could do with a dusting

ETTL with 622c transceivers and one 580 EXll shot through brolly. Exposed more or less perfectly

Thanks Robert, it's a Crested Pigeon, it and two others of it perched are up on flicker now. Unfortunately it was perching on a barbed wire fence, would have liked it be on a branch or something, but you take what you get given .. Haha.
