You shouldn't let your tame critters play with your 7DII Jeff, those bears can be particuly rough.

Ha ha ha funny, No it wasn't a charging bear, it was a bad rear wheel, just packed it in and lost its cog feel and got stiff, it was like sending your right arm lol So I took the 7D off the shelf and wow what a step backwards. You could be right about the shutter count Medicineman !! I know I've put some miles on all my camera's. faster than most I would say. If only there were less critters around here. lol

They told me the crap in the 100-400L was most likely a bad seal but would not be covered if it did not impede the IQ so that one is still a mystery.

I'll bet the Kits still look good with the 7D, how could they not

I second that. I hope your 7D2 gets back into your hands quickly... and it's back to perfect again.

I've never had or used a 7D but I did take my 70D with me yesterday. I thought maybe I'd use it for landscapes. Man, does it feel different after using the 7D2 for almost a year. It is OK for a backup but I think I'll leave it home in that role.

OK.... it's time to ask for your collective help.

Yesterday, I was out and about. My camera was acting odd. I'm sure I did something but I have no idea what. I was shooting in AV and under normal conditions, this allows me to change the EC on the fly by just spinning the Quick Control Wheel... the large one with the "Set" button in the middle.

Yesterday, it didn't do anything. I didn't have the lock engaged so it wasn't that. I didn't take the time to try to figure it out while I was out. I just used the ISO/EC button on the top to access it or just hit the Q button to access it.

Anyway, this morning, I got my camera out and it's working normally at the moment. Any ideas what I did wrong yesterday?

I'm on a different site. A person sent their 7D2 back as well and said the same thing. If anyone tries to tell you the 7D is almost the same it ain't true.

My guess Kevin is you moved the curser off of the Ec mode, you know the Q button and then you can move around the screen with the joy stick ??

I agree 100% with that statement, It's a good camera its just not in the same league as the 7DII. I don't know why they called it the mark II except the world wanted it to be!!
