Ha. I love. We just just sat through that 9 hour documentary on the civil war a few weeks ago. I never thought I could sit through that many hours of stills but it was so well done. My wife enjoyed this shot as well. Nice work.

Pondrader- Love the foggy marshland.

So today I gave the 100-400ii a try with the 2.0, why not? Keeper rate down. Would be easier with mirrorless, looking at the LCD in MF is best guess for my
eyes :( But 800mm seems doable eh? Chickadee again, only thing around today.

I just got mine back from Canon on Friday and these Killdeers were the only thing at the lake its been pretty sparse around here lately. The swans were taken before I sent the camera in to canon, the pond they lived in was emptied so the dam could be repaired and they were relocated.

Excellent detail. How did you get 1400mm? I don't see a TC but I'm not familiar with Sigma.

Hmmm. I have a Sigma 2X and Canon 1.4. I did a moon shot once with 2 x 2X. I just may have to try this. Again very nice.

Thank you, I will have to dig out the tripod and do this right the next time I get the urge.

Well I don't think won't be able to and I believe I read about it. You can't stack the new Canon TC's. Mine won't fit. I'd like see your results when you do.

Normally I wouldn't attempt a hand held macro shot with my shaky hands but this feller landed whilst I was setting up. 100% crop

2x and 1.4x :)

Wouldn't that be 3 stops then? 6.3 -> 18?
