I tried searching to no avail. Tonight I shot football for the first time. After shooting bursts, the top display showed card 1.2 and a countdown. I know this has something to do with the buffer because the camera slowed and the playback would not work until the countdown was complete. My question it, what exactly is it telling me? Is it one card, or both or what is it saying? Thanks in advance.

Looking at the graphic on p. 25 of the U.S. 7DII manual, it appears to be a card warning; presumably the countdown shows either the time or number of recording images left until the images have finished recording. The card numbers displayed may depend on how you have the cards set up in the menu, depending on whether they are both active for each shot (dual recording, such as RAW + JPEG), or if you have them set up to record in sequence, the second card only being used after the first one is full. Like you, I didn't see a detailed explanation beyond the references to "card" in the graphic. Probably time to get a faster card.

Thank you! I was determined to get some good shots with it. No regrets aside from now wanting to own it.

Wow! That 10-18mm really knocked it out of the park with those landscapes.

Correction: YOU knocked it out of the park with those landscapes. Really well done! :p

Haha thanks! The 10-18 is such a great lens in terms of IQ for the price. I Love it

Great Fist of Destruction. This was one of many photos taken this morning of an implosion in Des Moines Iowa. This was the old Downtown YMCA building.

Yes, one of my gripes as well, in many instances, it is harder to see than if it was located along the bottom.

Okay, for you guys' weekly dose of sports. Four from the McNeese State-Nicholls game.

First two were with a Canon 2X extender on my old 70-200mm F2.8 IS Version 1 lens. Other two were just with the lens by itself.
