7d MKIII ?, WTF, I'm such an idiot, I hate my new keyboard. How do you type on these 2 sided bent in the middle things anyways. Almost makes me want to use my other 8 fingers. :) I agree might just be too soon to make a call on a new body. Good Idea on the return, maybe I'll order one from Best Buy to try out, I have 45 days to return it there. I would feal crappy about screwing over the camera store though.

Yeah, I hear ya, I try to support my local store when I can, but sometimes it's hard when they have silly return policies and you are making a huge investment. BB doesn't care a lick really, especially for elite plus members.

I hate those kinds of keyboards. I can't use them at all.

I was getting ready to ask the same question....thanks.

How do you feel 7DMII did under stadium lighting?

The lighting wasn't great and I noticed there were a lot of burnt out lights. But the 7D2 did whole lot better than my 7D could. What was strange but when I got near the north endzone, I started to get the flicker warning. It was only there that I noticed I'd get it. I didn't want to spend the time looking in the menu to turn the flickr compensation on.

I made a guide on my B.I.F.L.A.B. (bird in flight like a boss!) method for manual focusing birds in flight when AF fails completely or is just always slightly off. It's a great skill to have when things go bad!

I love Auto ISO. And I am really happy that Canon decided to let us do exposure comp when in Auto ISO now.

Yes, processing my photos, I could see where I might need to bump the exposure up a little using the exposure compensation.

I think I am going to add Flickr compensation to my custom menu for my most common commands. The one time I'll need it I won't remember where it is.

That looks really good from what I see. Do you have any action shots from the game using the 7DII?

Okay, I'll post a few action shots late in the game that have the higher ISO's. I'm not claiming to be a great (or even good) sports photographer and some of these shots are cropped a lot. I can't convince anybody to give me a 400 f2.8 lens. The shots earlier in the game before it got dark are a lot better than these.

The whole series for this game can be found at the link below. Almost all of them were with the 7D2 with maybe a dozen or so wide shots with the 7D.

Okay, now I'm curious. What university did you attend?

Ouch! That's a great shot!

And what was bad was that player was already nursing bruised ribs or a hip pointer (depending on who you talk to) from the game before.

thanks for the feedback. I'm shooting with the 50D so I'm sure there would be an improvement for me:lol: I shot MiLB (baseball) and have to deal with stadium lighting.

Guess the flicker warning will depending on the direction the lights are facing and the direction you were shooting from. I could see where it might present issues.

No, it is not supposed to! Looking at both of mine, the design or shape is a little different, but I didn't try it on either.

I actually had to read the paper that came with the new grip to figure how to open it to load the batteries. I was trying to open it like the 7D grip. :)
