Lol. That was my wife condition too when I bought the 500mm to sell the tamron but I told her that it would be better to keep it as back up she agreed because I told her if I don't keep it I will buy the100-400mm II. :)

Mine is from the first run also, I had pre ordered and got it with B&H's first shipment my serial # is 000572. So I'm not sure that's the problem. Its odd that it works well with your other cameras? Do you have anyone locally with a 7DII that you could throw the tammy on to see how it works? Or if someone has a tammy that you could try on your 7DII?

:) mine is 000824

Oh yes, I got your new gear mixed up. Mine is similar SN. I forgot your new toy is the 7d2, not the Tamron. The results with the 7d2 have been very mixed. I don't know anyone around me with a 7d2 to sample, but I do have a friend with a Tamron 150-600 and a 70d, I might get together and see if some swapping out makes a difference.

OK. Im a bit confuzzled right now. Whats the best BIF settings. Been shooting case 4 with tracking on -2(locked on), accel/decel on 2 as well as AF point switching on 2. Been using my 300 2.8 IS. Im getting very inconsistent results. Using expanded 9 point as well as manual select large zone. Anybody have any ideas?
