I'm not claiming to be a great (or even good) sports photographer and some of these shots are cropped a lot. I can't convince anybody to give me a 400 f2.8 lens. The shots earlier in the game before it got dark are a lot better than these. The whole series for this game can be found at the link below. Almost all of them were with the 7D2 with maybe a dozen or so wide shots with the 7D. McNeese vs Northwestern St. Game PHotos First photo is ISO 6400, 1/1250, f 2.8 ![]() This one is ISO 10000, 1/1250, f 2.8 ![]() This last one is ISO 1280, 1/1250, f 2.8 ![]() Thanks Richard! I believe they look even better on your flickr page. Name: Theron

Never had this much trouble on my 5D3. When I do AFMA test shots it seems fine. Dunno what's up, but not overly happy so far. Well there are unfortunately bad copies that sneak out. Maybe get yours replaced under warrantee if you can not figure out what the problem is.

DXO will probably test the sensor at some point and have some/all of this info. The color depth is probably available on one or more of the camera review sites, so you might try checking those. Some Canon stuff and a little bit of Yongnuo.

The gap in ISO performance between the 7D, 70D and 7D2 is very small. However, it does seem that the 70D/7D2 both have a cleaner noise look to them, the 7D does have a "dirty" look to it if you miss exposure and bring it up. The 70D and 7D2 are more refined, and that translates to cleaner final processed images over the 7D with more detail. This, in my book, gives the 7D2 (and 70D) around 1/2 to 2/3 stop improvement. A lens with a 1.4 will typically need adjustments. It should be fine with a bare lens though, but I still like to maf them though. Gear
