Here's another image just for fun. I am running the Yosemite OS, so I can't convert the 7D2 raw files to DNG to use in LR, so I am just shooting jpeg for the moment. This image was ISO 2000, 1/1250 at f/2.8 using the 70-200 f2.8 II. Tweaked for color, a little sharpening, etc. in LR.

Re: the performance of the 7D2, I am blown away by the speed and quiet of the shutter (in both "H" and "S" modes), and the AF is a dream. I usually shoot my 5D3, so I am used to performance, and while designed for different purposes, this machine delivers. My original trusty 7D is now up for sale. The 7D2 will be a nice compliment to the 5D3 for action, wildlife, and more. I am really thrilled so far.

Wait...did he remove one with a pheasant? All I saw were Mallards.

No. My mistake. I was more interested in the dog.

Sorry, no bananas, birds, dogs, or cats, but things were kind of quiet at work this week so I took my new toy in and did some informal, office-lighting-only headshots of people I work with. These are SOOC JPEGs, cropped and re-sized in LR for posting here, no other post-processing. They were all shot in Av, the first one +1/3 stop and the others +2/3 stop exposure compensation, evaluative metering, AWB, Auto ISO, high-ISO noise reduction at standard, with Standard picture style. The first one here is ISO 8000, and the second ISO 6400. Bonus points if you can guess what kind of work we do. :D

LOL, Jake.

I can't wait for the swallows to get back in town, speaking of BIF.

Playing with the 400 5.6 + 1.4 TC and f8 autofocus. Not as sharp as my naked 500, but a heckuva lot easier to carry around the park!
