Congrats Joe.

Thanks 2n10, I see you have a grip for yours, did you get a canon grip or 3rd party?

I bought the Canon grip. I am looking forward to the arrival of the camera, grip and battery. Should arrive Monday. From what I have read I expect the gripped 7D2 to be a bit heavier than my gripped 7D especially since I bought an after market grip for the 7D.

Have you seen this yet? Does not cover everything but it is pretty good.

I'll also note the download here:

http://learn.usa.canon.com …os7dmk2_afGuidebook.shtml (external link)

which also seems pretty useful (though I've yet to work my way through it).

Just to register it in this thread as well as the AF thread...

I wish my darn iPad didn't think the PDF was protected and would open it. It is only locked for editing not opening, but the iPad is too dumb to figure that out.

Very nice Lenny. How large of a crop?

Not cropped at all. The full sized file on Flickr is 5742 X 3648.

And not a big deal, but my name is Ed. Lenny is one half of Lenny and Carl, my two cats for whom my Flickr is named. It is actually their fault that I got started in this whole photography thing 6 years ago

Well the good news is everything is in transit. Hopefully Old Man Winter will stay away for a few more days and Monday will be Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy.

The camera shipped via ground service as that is what I requested since free ND service was not offered by Adorama when I pre-ordered on 9-17. I never went back and asked them to change the shipping when they offered ND service.

Roger at lensrentals says this is the most 'weather sealed' camera body he has seen, although its not to say he has seen them all...
