If you're using PS (and keep in mind, I use old versions, CS3 design suite), I would clear cut the bird and make it a selection, make a new layer from selection and, while it's still selected on the old layer, cut the selection. This will stop the blur effecting the bird on the bottom layer. Add blur to bottom layer then you can save as a jpeg...done.

Actually the American White Pelicans breed here though spring and summer. It's quite odd to see them flying around with snow on the ground.

Now we're getting there, some nice weather coincides with some time off, 1 day only though it's back to rain again tomorrow!

Who doesn't like nice rounded tits?

Never seen this gorgeous species. Thanks for sharing.
I've said it before, but compared to the world we in the states are very very
limited.

Both fantastic!! I do find the Buzzard quite stunning as a raptor.
I guess we call buzzards hawks here in the states?
And buzzards are often called vultures here....I'll see a vulture flying
and say 'Poof buzzrd at 10 o'clock', etc.

Great work Cogs. Smaller birds are very difficult for me. Here's two recent flight shots from the rookery down the street.

I don't own this camera, but I did rent it. My BIF photos are less than spectacular. Especially compared to literally every other one already in this thread. Course my 70-300 is so soft, it's a pillow. And my nice 100mm 2.8 USM, just isn't long enough. But not a total loss, I found this little fella just chillin at the waters edge!
