Dunno if it's OK to post this here? There's no exif as today's shots are hidden pics on flickr but they were taken with the 7dmkll and tokina 11-16
First two shots are of the back yard I cleared when I moved in 22 months ago. It was in total disrepair with empty raised flower beds from which I salvaged the wood to make a path round the new garden. The trees I removed and replaced with agaves and hibiscus. The other pics were taken this morning to show just how much my drought tolerant garden has grown since. I call it "my little bit of Arizona" All the cacti and succulents were non-rooted cuttings when I planted them and I'm now at the stage of potting up cuttings from them and selling them on gumtree as can be seen in the last pic. No credit for it as other than a bit of weeding now and again, it has just grown rampant without help. The cacti, grevillia and succulents attract quite a few honeyeaters when in flower and I'm trying to pluck up the courage to eat the fruits from the prickly pears

Nice job on that work--I worked for a large landscaping company and enjoyed doing it. It's nice seeing your ideas come to fruition.

Thanks. Good luck with yours. There's two Butterfly Bush in mine but I've yet to see a bloody butterfly! Have yet to figure out how to (aesthetically) stop bird strikes on my windows though. They scatter when a train passes and some of 'em don't seem to have the sense to fly over the roof but head under the pergola and strike the patio doors! I've stopped feeding them for now until I figure out a way to stop them injuring themselves. I'll probably drop a screen from the edge of the pergola although it'll make a mess of the view

You can get these bird shaped stikers to go on Windows for this, think they just stay by static rather than glue, not tried them myself.

Yes mate. 15C is about as cold as it gets although once you get used to the heat, that 15 feels friggin' cold

Thanks for that but I'm fixing it up tomorrow. It's the entrance to the house doors under the pergola/deck that they keep striking so I'm going to drop shade cloth from the front of the pergola/deck roof...............kil​l two birds with one stone, so to speak as the sun shines under when it's setting making it bloody hot out there. The birds only strike early morning and evening after they use the feeders so I can roll it up during the day
