Hi Graham, These were taken at Thursley Common in Surrey Which is about twenty mins from where i live in Cowplain which happens to be next door to Horndean lol, You could also try Farlington Nature Reserve as well which is just on the left before joining the Eastern Road. These are the best wildlife reserves around this area with a great selection of birds amongst other things.

Thanks Mark, know the marshes well but Thursley is a new one to me - even though I would have driven past it many a time. I'll try both for sure and see if I get lucky with anything.

The 7dII does pretty well in a studio setting. This was from a shoot this past January, before I bought the 5DIII. It is nice to know it can be a backup for studio style shots, but I cant wait to try it out at our local air shows, and wildlife.
