Nov 07, 2014 11:57 | #1277 Anyone else mildly annoyed that Canon claims 1080p/60 but enabling it disables Servo AF during video? That would have been nice to know. Cameras: 7D2, S100

Sure, I expect that in this case, its better to leave the raw alone a bit and try to get photoshop to curve up the shadows, but am not for certain. Past Equipment | My Personal Gallery

This rate is faster than some cameras shoot with an empty buffer and I'm guessing that this rate continues until the card is filled.

So yesterday was the first time using the camera since the event... Fully charged and ready to shoot... I went to a local Botanical garden here in SoCal and shot 122 frames during a 3 hour period... The battery life indicator was still at full bars!!! So I'm chalking up the Breeder's Cup battery fiasco as a fluke in my part... Gonna try shooting again soon to gauge and see the 7D2's battery life longevity... I'll keep you and everyone posted!!! I'm hoping yours is also a fluke and that you get better results in your next photographic outing... ![]() Currently have 1017 shots at 5% battery life left. I guess the stupid vertical grip is not going to get here in time for Aviation Nation for me this weekend. Oh well. I'll just bring a spare battery. Julian

As I said, all I did was try setting up my camera in about an hours span after battery fully charged, and wala, dead battery. Didn't shoot a single shot. Had to use one from another camera to finish my set up. Tried to charge the dead battery, but after being in charger overnight, it was still blinking yellow.

Especially for jpeg shooters; as near as I can tell, the buffer clears faster than it fills w/ jpegs. - Eric S.: My Birds/Wildlife
