I just sold two of the photo used as my icon of the black Raven, both printed large and framed, photo is in a exhibition. Pretty pleased but was told by a photographer acquaintance that people can not do professional work with a crop camera  PPFFFTTTT

I'm glad you took a step to prove that acquaintance incorrect. I've sold a few images from my 7D and 7D2... Guess I should give my clients back their money since it wasn't professional ;-)a

Congrats on the sales! And keep on shooting!

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

Sorry if this has been said a million times but I am getting terrible battery life compared to my 80D. Easily got 2,000 shots on one charge with my 80D however on the 7D Mark II, 411 shots and already at 50%. GPS is off.

Well, that's probably roughly what I get on the 7D2. I don't have the 80D to compare it to.

yeah it's not off by much but it is noticeable.

Some panning today and quite surprised by the results considering the lack of IS and my very shaky hands lol.

Um...

Ever since I sold my Pentax p30T and brought a cybershot (2.1MP :p ) in the 90's, I've always had digital cameras and since getting a Fujifilm S2Pro, have always had crop bodies:

Fujifilm S2pro
Canon 40D
Canon 7D
Canon 7DII (current)

I worked, not just as an auto journo (shooting events and features), but as the official photographer for D1NZ and a short stint as an editor of one of the mags I used to submit to...

Your photographer acquaintance is misinformed! :p

I guess something has to power the extra Digic 6 processor... 2 x engines will use more fuel than 1 x engine.....

The 1D series batteries are twice as big for a reason..

A coupla bodies and a few lenses

I can fill almost two 32g cards in a day of shooting, that's enough for me. If you spend to much looking and menu ?? I've never needed more than two in a day.
