I am convinced we will never see that thing ship. At least before the 7D3 is out. Date has been pushed back like 4 different times.

Since this is a 7D2 thread I decided to ask here. I did not want to start a new thread and could not find one. I guess the 7D2 WiFi adaptor isn't out yet? It did not look like it was available at B&H. If there is a thread on this can someone point me there and delete this post.

Check out this thread.

So I finally picked up the 7D2. Found a cheap one on ebay. Took out an eval loan from CPS on the 300F4IS and 400f5.6 to see which I would prefer since you can pick them up used for well under $1k. Have to say I didn't like the clunky IS on the 300. I ended up never wanting to take the 400 off! I also paired it with my 1.4xII. W/o taking the time to MA the combo I could get happily sharp images at f9. I know if I had spent a whole day micro adjusting I'd be really happy with that combo. Wow, at 896mm equivalent, it's really hard to keep that focus point on the face. haha. You hear it, you know it, but in practice...lol. I kept chuckling to myself. First afternoon at the zoo was just to get acquainted with the pairing and then I went back the next morning and spent a couple of hours near the main pond. Here are two of my favorites.

Thanks. I updated the FM yesterday.

Yeah, I did the firmware update a couple of weeks ago. There was nothing wrong with how the 7D2 was behaving, and I'm not planning on getting the Wifi card in the near future, but as another poster said, there could be other bug fixes in the update that Canon might be too embarrassed to mention. So I'm up to date.

Starting to noticing this camera struggle more and more everyday. Today is a good example. Single point and would NOT focus on this iguana for the life of me.

f3.2 - ISO 100 - 1/800th. Cropped to 5x7 just to show the full sequence. Also this was not a burst, Took 10 images in about a minute before he jumped off the bridge and not one of them is correctly in focus. I was pointing my AF point on his head and had no luck. I don't understand this considering they have tons of detail and contrast on their face.

What does "cropped to 5x7" mean? How many pix horizontally in the crops?

Some shots look sharp to me, but the iguana was not in an attractive pose for those.

Meaning shot 3x2 but just cropped to 5x7 to showcase the center more otherwise would of been a really big image. This is probably not the best example however I encounter this daily as of now even when birds or iguana's show me their face. The camera just doesn't want to grab focus sometimes and it's more noticable at f2.8 than lets say f5.6.

How many pix along the horizontal?
