I'd love to claim how I overcame great obstacles to get this wonderful hawk, but in reality, I was on the auto-tour at the Sacramento NWR and came across him perched in a tree not 6 feet from my car window. So close I couldn't even fit him in the viewfinder with the 700mm combo I had on the 7D2. Luckily for me, the nice bird sat there while I shot him with the 7d2 at 700, the 5d4 at 600, and the 1DIV at 400 Fuji XT-2, XT-3, Sony A1, A7RIV, A9, and an OM-1
