Final stage of the Volvo Ocean Race 2018. shot last week from the beach. As they were quite far away I had to use a 1.4III converter as well. But I find the results very good for this combination.

thanks for looking,
cheers,
Rene.

Nabbed this guy this afternoon and huge news for those adapting.
The Sigma MC-11 with latest FW update and the a9 with 3.0 FW update has all native
Sony focusing modes. Ten star job by Sigma.

MM---I'm glad to hear that news about the MC-11 adapter. It would allow me to keep, and use my Canon 400 DO, my Canon 500, and my Canon 100-400 on the Sony a9.

Stu that's funny :)
Well I promise he wasn't shouldering/hiding a prey item. I got to watch this young hawk for 30 min's standing 'normal' before this
pose.
We also figure this is the offspring of our two neighborhood hawks I've been shooting for several years not.

Just yesteray three were in the backyard. The father guarding the chicken I'd put out for them all, as if preventing the juvenile from
access to the food. For these same years we've been shooting/observing them we've seen them drive off the young year after year.
I tell them all I have chicken for each one of them=us very willing to have more hawks in the backyard; but they always force the youngster
to leave :(

Thanks again for the kinds words.

WOW... CPW says there's only one in stock though. There's going to be one lucky winner, hopefully that someone is here on POTN!

Surprised this is still not picked up! The DO IIs on the refurb store is as rare as a unicorn.

Gear List

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

This is a hard thing to do but in the near future I'll probably be marketing my 400DOii.
Though the Sony FE 400/2.8 is not exactly what I want, and since the DOii is almost the last
remaining EOS lens I have of any import, it is getting close to time to send it off to another user and
be all e-mount Sony.

I doubt many read this thread who might be looking for the DOii but in case you know anyone :)
