7D2 sample images

Thanks for posting, I haven't found any samples that were videos or just snap shots. I'd like to see more high ISO shots to really know what the camera will be like

Yep, ISO 800-6400 is what I am interested in seeing, maybe even 8000. If it is decent, then it is worth a purchase for my needs.

I want raw results, because anything else is a huge unknown of what post processing has been performed, either in camera or via other tools/skill levels. I can get better results than anything in DPP or in-camera, or even with LR in many cases.

I'd like some downloadable raws at 6400.

The ISO 6400 looked surprising good to my eyes. Anyone want to speculate how much PP was done on the image? If that image looked similar to my 7D's equivalent when they took it from the card, then they did a nice clean up job. Otherwise, I thought it looked noticeably better than my current 7D

After the 7d, canon revamped their jpg algorithms. The jpg results are about 2 stops better than the old jpg engine results. You can see this in 4 or so of the latest offerings. The raw result is where you can compare apples to apples.

2 stops!!! I guess that's the problem of only having one body, well that and the fact I just use RAW nowadays (thank you lightroom Even if we could get a hold of the RAW files, are there any programmes that can open the new 7DII files?

Yea, we are going to need the raws. No way can I tell from those if there is no improvement or up to 1 stop improvement.

No surprise there.

I'm pretty sure with all the years of being blasted for the lack of DR at low-end... if Canon had actually come up with something that matched or beat the Sony sensor, the marketing department would print wall-sized posters to highlight THAT improvement.
