I hope it is real... That would be such an epic lens.

To me, it looks legit... Nothing really looks obviously edited or anything that I can tell.

I would pre-order that beast immediately.

You don't need IS for something that wide.

I'd buy that in a heartbeat if they produced it. Probably fake or far off in the future, though. Looks like a render rather than a real photo.

i'd love that!!! but I guess that everyone is right and it isn't real...
so it won't hurt to ask if it is a f1.8 zoom? :)

according to canon rumors - this picture was up on kakaku.com (or something like that) which is in an Asian language (sorry, but I cannot tell which one, and I prefer not to assume)
Does anyone know this site? Is it a reputable site?
I would wait in purchasing a 16-35 IS for this one, i think...even if it is supposed to be more than double the price. $2800 vs 1200 USD (assumed, of course)

I wouldn't worry about it. You can't hold out for a lens if you keep wondering what's new just around the corner.

If you have a need now buy something now.

that lens may or may not be real but it could be next week or 1 year away.

Mark - i know that you're totally right.
but believe me - I would be so amazingly bummed if the lens that I REALLY wanted came out close to when I got my second choice!!! :)
but then I guess, it isn't different from anyone else.
11mm on a full frame? wouldn't that be something?
