This could be bad for my wallet if true. Being an UWA freak I'd have to get this if it is less than $2500.

I thought I saw a rumor about something like this somewhere else - or maybe it was the patent.

EDIT: Just saw the CR. Supposedly f2.8 and $2800. I might be able to resist that one.

Same here. Tamron and Sigma have both stepped up their game by quite a bit. Nowadays the only thing Canon L is offering over 3rd party is weather sealing and a red ring around the lens.

6D; canon 85mm 1.8, Tamron 24-70mm VC, Canon 135L Canon 70-200L is ii

who knows, i wouldn't expect it to happen anytime soon though...i do think it's a bit surprising that only sigma is willing to go below 15mm on a FF UWA

Of course, you have crop camera's,and its a good choice for croppers.

i think the sigma 18-35f1.8 is still more exciting for crop users...

My bad Andre, that was the one I was referring to. I see the other is a Tamron.. Will that be only for croppers like the Sigma

no, it'll be for FF shooters...and it could be ground breaking there...15mm, f2.8, and stabilization...
