I was wondering if there is a list of the dates that Canon bodies were produced? I want the starting and end dates. Like for instance if I wanted to know how long the 5D II was produced. I have a list for their lenses but I'm not sure if there is one for their bodies.
Thanks in advance.

You can check things out here: http://www.canon.com …slr/chrono_1995-2004.html (external link)

That's the first page.... you can find all of the EOS digital cameras from there.

Thanks much. Is there any way to find out the end of the production run as this chart only says when they started manufacture?

I was thinking about that after I posted the Museum link. I don't know where you can find when camera models went out of production.....

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

Joseph,

I didn't take the time to research the chart you posted but it appears as though they stop the one model when the next one comes out. I'm not sure if that is accurate or if as watt100 mentioned, they have a lot of inventory. I would guess they have some sort of production overlap.... not sure how much, generally.

Allow me to clarify: right now, you can still buy a 60D from Canon. Are they still in production, or are they left over inventory? 70Ds were available last summer. The Canon Museum site says August, but I think pre-orders were fulfilled in July. Did Canon have a full year of inventory on their shelves when they brought out the 70D?

I tried to find when a now discontinued model went out of production but no luck, so far.

Got it now Joseph. I was looking at it on my phone and the page ended above the bar graph portion.
Thanks guys!
