I am tossing around the idea of adding a blog to our website. We shoot Boudoir and Seniors and have our first 2 weddings on the books. My goal is to drop seniors however my wife (the owner) thinks we should keep doing them. Anyways for SEO is it worth while to do a blog? The rest of our site needs a major SEO overhaul already.

Next question if it is worth doing, what kind of info would you focus on? Trying to come up with how to keep it geared to the customer and not other photographers.

This is my blog, perhaps it will give you some ideas? I blog info relevant to clients and special shoots.

Just as long as your blog is on the same domain as your website. I would not use Blogger or the "free" WordPress version. I use the self-hosting version of WordPress. It's still free, but using the self-hosting option, you have more control (themes, plugins, customization etc).

We are currently using Zenfolio which if I remember correctly has a blogging setup built in.
