Hey,

I did a quick comparison between Adobe Camera Raw
and the New Capture One Pro 8 raw processor.

Can you see a difference?

I think I am moving to Capture One Pro 8.

Interesting comparison, but personally I would be more interested in how Capture One Pro 8's workflow stacks up against Lightroom after you start making heavy use of preset configurations in both systems.

Wow! A whole video that demonstrates that one raw processor has different default settings to another raw processor! Totally and utterly meaningless.

It is difficult to glean anything from a video like this - one, it is compressed video and two, there are no settings shown or any methodology as to how you rendered each image. "Default" settings mean very little in the grand scheme of things.

There is a 60 day trial for C1v8 and, typically, a 30 day trial for LR. Users can try both side-by-side on their machine and see for themselves.

Are you planning to do many more videos on the subject? I would like to say thank you for the level of effort you are putting into doing videos. (Actual clear audio? Sad how rare that still is at times.)

I'm not going to have much time myself in the next while to do much detailed poking around in Capture One, but I would like to see some more detailed overviews of the tools as they compare to each other.

I suggest to anyone who is curious, to download
the free trial and test it out for yourself.

I notice a difference, maybe you won't.

I think Capture One Pro 8 is a better raw
processor than Adobe Camera Raw and
Lightroom.

That's just my opinion.

Check it out for yourself.

If you notice a difference post back and let
me know what you think.

I like the Tethering Option with the Capture Pilot
app for the iPhone and the iPad.

Some people may have no use for the app though.

Tethering also seems a little faster than Lightroom
but maybe it's just my computer.

Thanks for the feedback on the video, good and bad.

I have just downloaded CO8, I've been given crittique in the past saying that my pictures lacked depth and aparrently this is down to my PP. I've heard great things about CO8 so i'm going to be taking it slow, watching lots of videos and learning as much as i can.
