Collapsible background advice?

I'm looking for some collapsible backgrounds to use for small item shoots as well as portraits. Besides the obvious difference of collapsible background sizes and colors, I am noticing a wide range of prices for the different backgrounds that comes in different shapes. Are there quality differences with the materials? Is there any particular type I should be looking for? What sizes would you recommend I consider? I would like the backgrounds to be held by either someone else or maybe I can use a C-stand to hold them up.

Expensive, but worth the money. It is very near wrinkle free. The is not a grey one that I've found that comes close to being as wrinkle free. You can get shades of grey with the white by varying your subject to background distance when shooting with flash or continuous lights.

I just starting using the two items below for shooting head shots - no problems with setups in different buildings...

There's definitely a quality difference with these. I bought some cheap ones initially and the material was so thin that when placed in front of a window, light was streaming through it. I like the Lastolite and Denny collapsibles, but they can be pricey. So I just have a few that work well for portraits. I can often just lean them up against a wall when space is tight. I've found the 6'x7' size to be the most versatile.

What about collapsible blue/green screen backgrounds? Anything to look for with these? Are some of the green/blue colors more accurate than others? Any brand or specific model advice?

I have used Westcott and Lastolite chroma green versions with no issue color-wise.

I guess eventually all collapsible type frames tend to loose shape at the corners.

When that happens, you will get mild wrinkles.

Hmmm I'm really liking the X-Drop that lauderalems posted.

I have the x drop. Very quick to setup and take down.

Nothing fancy - just something simple for head shots

Regarding Westcott X-Drop, just for information, the back leg extends pretty far out.
