I'm about to start a project where I have to shoot JPEG and the filenames must be in this format: img_0001. jpg, img_0002. jpg, etc. but I'm getting filenames like this: 387C8003.jpg, 387C8004.jpg, etc.

I don't see anywhere I can change this to name them like this. I see where I can reset the numbering but nothing about changing the name.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

The menu item you want is two down from "reset numbering", called "file name setting". When you go in there you will see "387C" listed as the unique code for your body. Choose either of the "user" settings, set it to "IMG_" and then activate that instead of the unique code, which is the default.

Whatever you set, if shooting in Adobe RGB the first character will be changed to "_", e.g. "_MG" or "_87C".
