If I'm lucky, I see one of these a year. I've seen a couple now, over the last two days. They used to be known as the solitary vireo and were aptly named. They nest alone, usually far from others of their kind and from human influence.

Love the soft lighting in the first and the resultant feather detail. He is a fine looking fellow with at least some curiosity as shown in your 2nd image. I just wish I could find any Vireo :confused:

Thank you for you kind comments. Their spectacles are so striking that when you see one, you immediately know it. Then it's "please, please, please pose for me!" One can only hope they do.
