Hi everyone, I just bought a EOS M camera and love it. Is there anyone with the M and uses different strap other then the strap that came with the M?
Thank you

I use a wapiti strap on my mirrorless and really like it. He will make custom lengths on request. http://www.wapitistraps.com/ (external link)

Leica strap is also awesome. http://www.amazon.com …meras-14312/dp/B0000BZM1F (external link)

I just use Canon's. The camera's no load at all; for that matter, it's often in the pocket of my photo vest while I have a big camera out.

I am considering a wrist strap. I don't really like hanging it from my neck and feel that a sling (which is my favorite for my DSLR) is too much for the tiny M.

Ordered a Crumpler Industry Disgrace but apparently they are discontinued... so Adorama is shipping me a Popular Disgrace instead. I love Crumpler products.

I like my Lance. I got the extra long one as I like to wear it across my body and I'm pretty tall.

I use these along with the strap my camera came with, otherwise I find it too short and annoying

Personally I like the Herringbone wrist straps...http://www.amazon.com …ds=herringbone+dslr+strap (external link). There are multiple colors available. The link is black leather with red stitching; goes well with "L" lenses.

Just investigate whether you need a Type 1 or Type 2 meaning with or without the mounting plate. Or just get the Type 1, only a few bucks extra, then you have it.

Review with some pictures at http://www.1kindphotography.com …one-heritage-leather.html (external link)

Most of these straps seem to be designed to fit the standard SLR attachment point, whereas the M has a little post with a special attachment lug on the strap. What do you do, un-thread the Canon strap and replace it?

I bought a Joby DSLR wrist strap, as I prefer securing a small camera to my wrist (especially one with a touch screen). Under $10 US. It might be overkill but makes me feel safer from accidents and grab & run theft when on the streets. The strap is comfortable against my skin, and is designed so that if the camera slips from your hand, or if you need to let go suddenly, the strap's slip clip will tighten the strap around your wrist.

I got a wrist strap for the eos m and attached it to the lug that came with the original strap. However I am afraid that if I let the camera hang from the strap that the lug will somehow twist open and release the entire strap. Afterall I can turn and release the lug with only my finger with very little effort and no screwdriver or coin/key is needed. Is there a way to lock it in place so that it is harder to turn/release?
