JPEG!!!!

These images are JPEGs straight from the camera, and were taken under carefully-controlled conditions, to provide valid comparisons of camera capabilities in actual shooting situations.

the 7D2 is a very thin hair cleaner than the 70D at 12800. then I pulled up the 1DX and at 12800 and saw how it torched the 7D2.

then I pulled up the A7s and was surprised that the Sony actually looked blotchy compared to the 1DX. but I'm sure the Sony will look infinitely better when you push the shadows.

The 7D JPG engine was horrible, like every body before it. I was very happy to see Canon finally work some algorithmic changes for JPG and NR for out of camera JPG. But yes, 2 JPGs out of 2 bodies doesn't really mean anything. Let's see a comparison between the 70D and 7D if we are going to look at JPG, as the 70D has the newer JPG engine in it.

The most recent release of the Canon's top crop doesn't compare with it's flagship FF at high ISO ???????????
Imagine that.
