I'd like to practice and improve some of my Photoshop retouching skills for images of people, primarily faces. Wrinkles, bad complexions, acne, red eye, loose hair, etc. My own collection of images has minimal problems like these and I'm wondering where, if at all might there be a few images of good working size that can be downloaded to practice on. Seems most images posted anywhere have already been fixed in some manner taking all the "fun" out them.

Megapixels and high ISO are a digital photographers heroin. Once you have a little, you just want more and more. It doesn't stop until your bank account is run dry.

I'm not being flip or anything. But just mess up your own hair, put spots on your face with a pencil or water-soluble marker, put the camera on a tripod and do a self portrait. That'll give you what you need to work with. Most of the corrections will be an exercise with the cloning tool in photoshop. The later the version of PS, the more sophisticated the cloning ability, generally.

I was going to suggest to wake up earlier than the wife, setup your gear, and then catch her as she's waking up. :D

Granted, she's going to be in the worst mode you've ever seen for the rest of the day, but if you're quick and get enough images, you'll have a days worth of work to keep you away from her. ;)

Not to mention that, when you're finished, you can show her the image and compliment her on how nice she looks in the morning!

That will guarantee his face will be messed up and needs PP for a long time :D So I advice you not to try it :D

Could also be why I'm still just as single as ever. ;)

Someday, I'll figure out a womans sense of humor. Then I'll win the Lottery, and drop dead from shock, and it'll all be for naught. :D

I like the way you say "worst mode" - you've been behind the camera too long Vance :D:D

They do. The problem is, as men, we're just too stupid to get it.

Thanks Bill, that's kind of what I was looking for without dragging the wife into the fray.
