I am presenting at a local camera club next week and, in addition to my talk, I'm going to open with a short video. I've been to Africa 18 times and my most often asked question is "why do you keep going back?" The real answer is that I love the feeling of being remote and with nature, but that doesn't get folks wanting to join me on trips, so I share my number two reason: Where else in the world can I find so many photo subjects in a single week. With that in mind, here's my little video. Let me know what you think.

That was awesome...left me wanting to see more! The song fit perfectly with the slide show. (I uploaded a video with a copyrighted song one time running in the background, and YouTube took the sound away.) Great job!

ton of great stuff, I only have one thing to say that hit me right off the bat, the images go by way to fast and the switching is very hard on the eyes, I started to look away before it was half over....now I watched it on a 27 inch iMac so it was fairly large, on a smaller say laptop it may not have the same affect. not trying to be over critical just want it to have the biggest impact for you !! its going to be a huge blast. the bam bam bam of the large images is very hard to follow on a projector presentation.

^^I do agree with Jeff, they did change too fast! I viewed them on a 21 inch iMac.

hey guys, thanks for the feedback. I knew this would be overwhelming. That was sort of the point. a trip gives you almost too much ... and in a single week, so you better have your act together.

I open with this then follow with a full hour presentation on Powerpoint where I spend time talking about composition, exposure, high ISO challenges, etc.

Maybe the opening is too strong for the video length. I wonder if I could make my point yet use a shorter song and/or fewer images????
